Constitution and By-Laws Update 2024

A constitution lays the ground rules and sets out a roadmap for the future, playing a fundamental role in the future of an organisation. The current REIV Constitution was set out in 2013 with some updates incorporated in recent years.

It is now time to review and update the REIV Constitution to effectively represent the dynamic, fast paced and ever-changing Victorian real estate sector. Following a detailed review, widespread engagement and a firm eye towards the future, the REIV Board is proposing an update to the Constitution and By-laws.

This constitutional update lays the foundation for an REIV that is well equipped to remain at the helm of the Victorian real estate sector. The updates proposed will help deliver a constitution and By-Laws that are:

• Well-articulated to provide a clear strategic direction
• Agile to ensure the REIV is responsive and progressive
• Fair and equitable towards all members
  
  

The updates will be presented for member approval at a Special General Meeting (SGM), proposed for 21 October 2024.
